“Virginia Beach Theological Seminary (VBTS) was founded in 1995 to equip
students for local church ministry and missions worldwide through biblical
academic training in a ministry-based environment that seeks to honor the
Lord Jesus Christ and to uphold the inerrant Word of God.  Since then, it
has graduated over 250 students who serve as pastors, missionaries,
chaplains, teachers, and lay leaders on four continents and over 36 states:
preaching, teaching, and pointing others to Jesus Christ.

Over the past 30 years, the message of VBTS has remained constant, but
costs and needs of students have dramatically changed.  To support these
changes, the Daniel and Martha Davey Foundation was established.  However,
the Davey Foundation was created to not merely meet the needs today, but to
transition VBTS from maintaining operations to growing over the next 20
years and beyond.

In support of this and the overarching mission of VBTS, will you stand with
us as we support and uphold VBTS?”

Testimonies to God’s Grace

“I sum up my seminary experience with two points. Man is imperfect, and I am referring specifically to myself when I say that. And God is perfect.”

VBTS Alumni from England, Romania, China, Cambodia, Cameroon, and India share how the Lord has used their training at VBTS to prepare them for their cross-cultural ministries.

“…As I look back on what God has done and how God has used both VBTS and Colonial Baptist Church, I can’t separate the two. Both of them have been essential for our lives….”

“As a bi-vocational pastor, I would be floundering in my attempts to teach God’s word to the church. The foundation, building blocks, and tool set I received at VBTS have been invaluable in my ability to studyGod’s Word myself alongside scholarly and popular writings without feeling lost at the array of opinions and interpretations.”

Elder, Grace Church, Alexandria VA

“I am thankful that God used VBTS in my life to amplify His Spirit-initiated desire to correctly study and live out His Word of truth. As God has been kind in allowing me the opportunity to serve Him and His Church in pastoral ministry, I appreciate now even more than I did as a student VBTS’s strong emphasis and balanced approach on Biblical exegesis and analysis, historical theology, gospel-advancing worship, and grace-inspired local-church ministry.”
